Defense Minister Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation with Indian Counterpart
Today, the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Mohammed Al-Daari, held discussions with the Defense Minister of the friendly Republic of India, Rajnath Singh, in the Indian city of Bangalore to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The Defense Minister praised the long-standing and historic relations between the two countries, which have existed for centuries. He expressed appreciation for Indiaâ™s support in training and developing Yemeni personnel, enhancing their skills in various fields, particularly medical and military, as well as providing necessary medical services for the injured and wounded members of the armed forces.
Lieutenant General Al-Daari also highlighted the danger posed by the Houthi terrorist militia to freedom of maritime navigation in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Aden, and its disruption of international peace. He emphasized the importance of international support for the government and armed forces to assert sovereignty over the country and secure global trade routes and maritime navigation.
For his part, the Indian Defense Minister stressed the strong relations between Yemen and India, reaffirming the commitment to developing joint cooperation for the benefit of both friendly nations.
